Is the Lalit Loyalty Program for you?

Having personally experienced the excellent hospitality of The Lalit Group, I can vouch for the Lalit Loyalty Program. How often do you consider the tariff at a property and postpone your holiday to wait for the offseason? How often have you checked the tariff of a Lalit property and considered it to be too high? Here is a solution for you.

The Lalit Group offers the New Lalit Loyalty Program. You can get an annual membership for free and enjoy multiple benefits across the Lalit properties in India. With this program, you can escape to luxurious destinations and enjoy being pampered by the excellent team. Create memories of a lifetime at scenic destinations and luxurious settings. The Lalit Group offers two membership options- The Lalit Loyalty and The Lalit Dining Program. Here, we discuss both.

The Lalit Loyalty

There are four membership tiers. Everytime you spend, you earn points. You can then redeem these points or choose to donate them. The Lalit Group has partnered with Points for Good and allows you to donate points for causes you support.

Participating Hotels:

1. The LaLiT New Delhi 2. The LaLiT Mumbai 3. The LaLiTGolf and Spa Resort Goa 4. The LaLiT Grand Palace Srinagar 5. The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore 6. The LaLiTLaxmiVilas Palace Udaipur 7. The LaLiT Temple View Khajuraho 8. The Lalit, Jaipur 9. The Lalit, Chandigarh 10. The Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkatta 11. The Lalit Resort And Spa Bekal

12.The Lalit Mangar, Haryana

Membership tiers

  1. Blue: The basic, blue tier membership starts when you spend upto Rs.50,000 annually. It offers member special rates, points for donation, fruit basket, no black out days for redemption and a dedicated loyalty check in counter. You earn 1 point for every Rs.100 spent.

  2. Silver: In addition to everything offered under the blue tier, you also get to enjoy VIP in-room amenities, Wi-Fi and complimentary access to the Lalit Legacy Lounge. Free Wi-Fi is offered at majority hotels right now, I don't think it is a reason enough to choose the silver tier. Additionally, the in-room amenities will vary from room to room. To be a sliver tier member, you need to spend between Rs.50,000 upto Rs.1,50,000 annually. You'll earn 4 points for every Rs.100 spent.

  3. Gold: For the Gold membership, your minimum spend should be between Rs.1,50,000 upto Rs. 4,00,000 annually. It covers everytihng offered in the blue and silver tier. Additionally, it provides early check-in, late check-out, dedicated email and helpline support and in-room checkin. You'll earn 6 points for every Rs.100 spent.

  4. Platinum: The highest tier, Platinum requires a minimum spend of Rs.4,00,000 and above annually. It is the only tier that makes one feel like a special quest. It offers a special GM meet on arrival or departure, butler service, complimentary room upgrade and complimentary access to meeting rooms. You'll earn 8 points for every Rs.100 spent.

Simliar to the other loyalty programs, you earn everytime you spend at a Lalit Property. You'll earn points on your stay, food and beverage, Kitty Su and spa. Points can be redeemed for the same.

Fine print

The old Lalit Loyalty program offered several benefits at a cost. The new program is free and is spend based. You spend, you earn. There are no black out dates for redemption and the points are non-transferable. You only earn 50% points if you book through online travel sites.

Your points are valid only for 36 months from the date they are earned. Additionally, if you're inactive for 18 months, the points will expire and your membership will end at the end of 18 months. Something worth thinking about.

The Lalit Dining Program

If you love dining at Lalit properties, this program can be an ideal choice for you. Dining is a paid subscription focused on restaurant discounts and complimentary vouchers. However, it comes at a cost. You've to pay Rs.9,440 (inc. taxes) for an annual membership.

This allows you to enjoy food and beverages at Baluchi, the Pan Indian restaurant, OKO, the Pan Asian restaurant and 24/7, Lalit's All Day Dining restaurant. There are 55 Restaurants, bars and cafes where you can use the dining membership.

The food and beverage discounts are as follows:

  • 20% discount for 1 guest

  • 50% discount for 2 guests

  • 33% discount for 3 guests

  • 25% discount for 4 guests

  • 20% discount for more than 5 guests

  • 20% discount on alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages

Complimentary vouchers:

  • Two Complimentary Buffet

  • One Complimentary Cake (1 kg)

  • One Complimentary House Wine Bottle

  • Two Complimentary Chef’s Special Desserts

  • One 50% off on a meal for up to 10 people

Experiential benefits:

  • Exclusive access to member-only dining events & festivals

  • Chef meet and greet - on request

  • Invitations to curated culinary experiences

Additionally, you get one-time use vouchers that are included with the membership.

  • 1 × Complimentary Buffet for Two

  • 1 × Complimentary Cake (1 kg)

  • 1 × Complimentary House Wine Bottle

  • 1 × Complimentary Dessert while dining- Chef's Special

You cannot use the discount for room service, minibar and events. Two discounts cannot be clubbed together and the membership benefits are non-transferable.

While I've thoroughly enjoyed my multiple stays at The Lalit property, I think the old Lalit Loyalty program was much better. It did come at a cost but the benefits where higher. If you're someone who travels often and prefers to stay at the Lalit Hotels, the program might be a good choice for you. Considering other loyalty programs? Click here.

However, between the two, I'd pick the Lalit Dining Program. Mulitiple vouchers, 20% discount on beverages and complimentary one-time use vouchers. It easily covers the cost of membership.
